The Most Virtuous Acts of Charity Based on the Hadith of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

1. Charity to Family:

Among the most esteemed forms of charity is giving to one's own family, especially to parents, spouse, and children. This act showcases obedience to Allah SWT and displays affection towards family members. The Prophet (PBUH) stated, 

"The best charity is that given to a relative who does not expect it." (Sahih Muslim)

2. Charity to the Needy:

Another highly virtuous form of charity is giving to the needy or the destitute. These individuals lack adequate resources to fulfill their basic needs and are deserving recipients of zakat and other charitable contributions. By donating to them, we display social empathy and humanity. Allah SWT says, 

"Whatever you spend in good, it is for yourselves, and you do not spend except seeking the countenance of Allah. Whatever you spend will be repaid to you in full, and you shall not be wronged." (Quran, 2:272)

3. Concealed Charity:

The third esteemed form of charity is giving in secret or concealing one's act of charity from everyone except Allah SWT and the recipient. This act helps preserve sincerity and avoids showing off or seeking praise from others. Allah SWT affirms,

"If you disclose your charitable expenditures, they are good; but if you conceal them and give them to the poor, it is better for you. And Allah will remove from you some of your misdeeds, and Allah is aware of what you do." (Quran, 2:271)
