Despite the sanctity of Rajab, many Muslims believe in extraordinary virtues associated with the month, engaging in various specific practices like fasting the entire month or on specific days, performing i'tikaf, reciting specific prayers, and more. 1. "Rajab is the month of Allah, Sha'ban is my month, and Ramadan is the month of my Ummah." This hadith is deemed fabricated by Sheikh ash-Shaghani, with no authentic chain linking it to Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

"The virtue of Rajab over other months is like the virtue of the Quran over all speech, the virtue of Sha'ban over me over the other Prophets, and the virtue of Ramadan is like the virtue of Allah over all His creatures." Another fabricated hadith by Sheikh ash-Shaghani, lacking an authentic chain to Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
3. "Indeed, in Paradise, there is a river named Rajab. Its water is whiter than milk and sweeter than honey. Whoever fasts a day in Rajab, Allah will let him drink from that river." This hadith is considered weak by Sheikh al-Albani, with no authentic chain linking it to Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

It is advisable to refer to reliable sources and individuals well-versed in hadith, such as hadith scholars, collections of hadiths, and works by scholars discussing the authenticity of hadiths.
If we come across weak or fabricated hadiths about Rajab, it is crucial not to practice, spread, or teach them, as doing so constitutes a serious sin of falsely attributing statements to Prophet Muhammad (SAW). As the Prophet mentioned, "Whoever intentionally lies about me should prepare for himself a place in the Hellfire." (Bukhari no. 1291 and Muslim no. 4)
Instead, we should adhere to the authentic Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) in worship during Rajab. This includes fasting voluntary fasts according to our capability, without specifying particular days, increasing other righteous deeds, and preparing ourselves for the upcoming months of Sha'ban and Ramadan, which hold greater significance.
