It is also recommended to recite other supplications and verses from the Quran during Tawaf. Muslims may choose to recite the words of praise and glorification of Allah, seek His forgiveness, and make personal supplications during this sacred act of worship.
Sa'i (The Ritual of Running Between Safa and Marwa)
After completing the Tawaf, the next step in the Umrah pilgrimage is performing Sa'i. Sa'i is the act of walking or running between the hills of Safa and Marwa, just as Hajar (may Allah be pleased with her) did in search of water for her son Ismail (peace be upon him).
During Sa'i, there are no specific prescribed supplications to recite. However, Muslims may engage in dhikr (remembrance of Allah), recitation of the Quran, and personal supplications. It is a time to reflect on the story of Hajar and Ismail, their unwavering trust in Allah, and the significance of their struggle.
Conclusion
Performing Umrah is a deeply spiritual and rewarding experience for Muslims. It allows them to fulfill a significant act of worship, seek forgiveness, and strengthen their connection with Allah. The rituals of Umrah, including Tawaf and Sa'i, are not only physical actions but also moments of reflection, devotion, and humility.
Throughout the Umrah pilgrimage, Muslims are encouraged to engage in constant remembrance of Allah, recitation of the Quran, and heartfelt supplications. These acts of devotion serve as a means to purify the soul, seek blessings, and seek closeness to the Almighty.
As Muslims embark on their Umrah journey, they carry with them the intention to seek forgiveness, renew their faith, and draw nearer to Allah. It is a journey of the heart, mind, and soul, reminding believers of the eternal journey towards the Hereafter.
May Allah accept the efforts and supplications of all those who perform Umrah and grant them the blessings and rewards of this sacred act of worship. Ameen.
