After his passionate and fiery youth, Danny Blum finally found Islam that could make his life better.

Danny Blum became a Muslim in 2015. At that time he was still strengthening the club FC Nurnberg in the Bundesliga 2. Previously, it was reported that he was often angry and had tantrums inexplicably.

After that, Blum got to a point where he felt empty and began to think about living in the future.

Blum thought about how his old days, when later he was no longer a professional football player.

"When I sit at home, I think of living in the lap of luxury. Every weekend sets the alarm," Blum told Bild.

"No responsibility for anything. And what really happens after retirement?" he said, adding.

Since then, Blum began to study Islam. And, when he came to the mosque, his heart immediately beat and his curiosity about Islam grew even more.

“I have visited a mosque and my heart immediately rose. I felt like this was something for me, and I wanted to know more," said Blum.

Since then, he decided to become a convert to Islam and pray five times a day and eat halal food.

However, the problem did not stop there, Blum was initially afraid to tell his parents about his decision to convert to Islam. Because his parents are Christians.

“They are devout Christians. But after I said that, they said I had to go down that path if I believed it was true."

After converting to Islam and studying it more deeply, Blum admits that his grumpy nature slowly changed. He believes that because Islam is a peaceful religion.

"Islam gave me new hope and strength. When I pray, I always find peace of mind. Islam is a religion of peace," said Blum.

"My faith says, 'Never force anyone to do what they don't want. It has to come from within everyone's heart,' he explained.

Danny Blum started his career as a professional footballer at SV Sandhausen in 2010-2014. He was loaned to Karlsruher SC in 2012-2013,

After that, Danny Blum joined FC Nuremberg. Two years there, Blum then moved to Eintracht Frankfurt in the 2016/17 season on a free transfer.

However, his career did not go smoothly there, Danny Blum was then loaned for a season to UD Las Palmas.

In the 2019/20 season, Danny Blum was signed by VfL Bochum until July 2022. Currently, Blum is playing in the Cyprus League to strengthen APOEL.
