Prayer of the Prophet Ibrahim in Building a Household and Prayer for the Spaciousness of Rizki
In addition to requiring physical readiness, to build a household also requires mental readiness. Especially in terms of sustenance, it really requires effort and prayer encouragement.
In this regard, Mustasyar PBNU KH. Sya'roni in the study of Tafsir Al-Qur'an at the Masjid Al-Aqsa Menara Kudus once delivered a practice of prayer or remembrance to build a household.
According to him, when building a household, it is better to practice reading prayers as practiced by Prophet Ibrahim. This prayer has been stated in the Qur'an Surah Ibrahim verse 37.
Surat Ibrahim Ayat 37
رَّبَّنَآ إِنِّىٓ أَسْكَنتُ مِن ذُرِّيَّتِى بِوَادٍ غَيْرِ ذِى زَرْعٍ عِندَ بَيْتِكَ ٱلْمُحَرَّمِ رَبَّنَا لِيُقِيمُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ فَٱجْعَلْ أَفْـِٔدَةً مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِ تَهْوِىٓ إِلَيْهِمْ وَٱرْزُقْهُم مِّنَ ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَشْكُرُونَ
Arab-Latin: Rabbanā innī askantu min żurriyyatī biwādin gairi żī zar'in 'inda baitikal-muḥarrami rabbanā liyuqīmuṣ-ṣalāta faj'al af`idatam minan-nāsi tahwī ilaihim warzuq-hum minaṡ-ṡamarāti la'allahum yasykurụn.
Meaning: O our Lord, indeed I have placed some of my descendants in a valley where there is no plant near Your respected house (Baitullah), O our Lord (that is) so that they establish prayer, so make the hearts of some people inclined to them and provide them with fruit, hopefully they will be grateful.
This practice of the Prophet Ibrahim's Prayer can be read 313 times at any time with the intention that Allah SWT will give him sustenance. If done alone with a partner, the number can be divided by two in the number of readings. If it is read in a congregation consisting of 313 people, then it is enough to read it once. If read alone, then 313 times read it. According to Mbah Sya'roni's explanation, this is the familiar greeting of this charismatic elderly kiai from Kudus.
Mbah Sya'roni also emphasized that the prayer of Prophet Ibrahim was very efficacious. The proof is, the dry city of Mecca without trees, there are still many kinds of fruits that until now can be enjoyed by pilgrims who come from various parts of the world.
All the sufficiency of sustenance in Mecca certainly cannot be separated from the prayers offered by Prophet Ibrahim. Because he once asked Allah SWT for sustenance for the people of Mecca with the reading in the verse.
At the recitation that morning, Mbah Sya'roni also reminded that after praying, don't forget to raise your hand to pray. The trick, when praying, start by reading "rabbana taqobbal minna innaka antas samii'ul 'alim." The hope is to ask that our worship be accepted by Allah SWT.
Because the main practice according to Sayyidina Ali is accepted worship. So it is recommended and prioritized to read the prayer of rabbana taqobbal minna innaka antas samiiul 'aliim after worship.
The Qur'anic Tafsir recitation at the Masjid al-Aqsa Menara Kudus is routinely held every day after dawn during the month of Ramadan. On that occasion Mbah Sya'roni continued the explanation of Surah Al-Baqarah letter 125-130 which explained a lot and told the story of the struggle of Prophet Ibrahim in the city of Mecca.
