 كَــلَامٌ قَدِيمٌ

كَــلَامٌ قَدِيمٌ لَا يُـمَـلُّ سَمَاعُـهُ

تَـنَــزَّهَ عَنْ قَوْلٍ وَفِعْــلٍ ونِيَّــةٍ

بِهِ أَشْتَفِى مِنْ كُلِّ دَاءٍ وَنُوْرُهُ

دَلِيْلٌ لِقَلْبِي عِنْدَ جَهْلٍ وَحَيْرَةٍ

فَيَـا رَبِّ مَتِّعْــنِي بِسِرِّ حُرُوْفِــهِ

وَنَوِّرْ بِهِ قَلْبِـي وَسَمْعِى وَمُقْلَتِـيْ

وَيَا رَبِّ يَا فَتَّاحُ إِِفْتَحْ قُلُوبَنَـا

وَفَهِّمْ بِهِ قَلْبِـى عُلُـوْمَ الشَّرِيْعَـةِ

وَصَـلِّ وَسَلِّـمْ يَا إِلٰهِيْ لِـمُنْـذِرِ

عَدَدَ حُرُوْفٍ بِالْقُرْاٰنِ وَالسُّوْرَةِ

كَــلَامٌ قَدِيمٌ لَا يُـمَـلُّ سَمَاعُـهُ

Kalâmun qodîmu lâ yumallu samâ’uhu

The Koran is the eternal word of God that has no boredom to be heard

تَـنَــزَّهَ عَنْ قَوْلٍ وَفِعْــلٍ ونِيَّــةٍ

Tanazzaha ‘an qoulin wa fi'lin wa niyyati

Which is purified from speech, deeds and will

بِهِ أَشْتَفِى مِنْ كُلِّ دَاءٍ وَنُوْرُهُ

Bihi ashtafî min kulli dâ-in wa nûruhu

With the Koran, I asked for healing from all the diseases and light of the Koran

دَلِيْلٌ لِقَلْبِي عِنْدَ جَهْلٍ وَحَيْرَةٍ

Dalîlun liqolbî ‘inda jahlî wa hairotî

(Al Qur'an) it became a clue to my heart when I was in ignorance and confusion

فَيَلا رَبِّ مَتِّعْنِي بِسِرِّ حُرُوْفِهِ

Fayâ Robbi Matti'nî Bisirri Hurûfihi

O my Lord, grace me with a secret in the letter of the Koran

وَنَوِّرْ بِهِ قَلْبِي وَسَمْعِى وَمُقْلَتِيْْ

Wa nawwir bihi qalbî wa sam'î wa muqlatî

And because the Qur'an, bright my heart, hearing and my eyes.

وَيَارَبِّ يَا فَتَّاحُ إِِِفْتَحْ قُلُوبَنَا

Wa yâ robbi yâ fattâhu ifah qulûbanâ

My Lord is the Opening, Open our hearts

وَفَهِّمْ بِهِ قَلْبِى عُلُوْمَ الشَّرِيْعَةِ

Wa fahhim bihi qolbî ‘ulûmasy-syarî'ati

And with him (Al Qur'an), Understand this heart with the sciences of Shari'a

وَصَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ يَا إِلٰهِى لِمُنْذِرِ

Wa sholli wa sallim yâ ilâhî limundziri

Give sholawat and greetings to the attack (the Prophet Muhammad), O my Lord ..

عَدَدَ حُرُوْفٍ بِالْقُرْاٰنِ وَالسُّوْرَةِ

'There is a hurûfin bil Qur-âni was-sûroti

as many letters and letters ~ the letter of the Qur'an
