Halima Aden does not regret her decision at all. He even hopes that many models out there will see the traces of his career and can learn something from what he has done.
Halima Aden was first recognized by the public as the world's first hijabi model when she appeared as Miss Minnesota USA and got a contract with IMG Models. From there the door to Halima Aden's success opened.
However, his belief in Islam made him decide to escape from the world of glitter. That's what makes the woman born on September 19, 1997 so relieved with her current life path.

In her interview with the BBC, she spoke about the pressure felt as the first Muslim hijabi model and called for an end to tokenism in the fashion industry. Tokenism itself is an example of when an individual exhibits positive but false behavior.
"I think it's time for me to leave the tokenism of the past. Muslim hijab models are no different from other models on the runway or on the set, they really are no different than an article of clothing," she said, quoted by The National News, Saturday (30/30). /10/2021).
In the modeling world, Halima Aden actually has set 2 main requirements that she carries everywhere, namely always wearing the hijab and not using a male stylist.
"Everything went smoothly. Until finally she realized that what she was doing did not reflect the basics of a Muslim woman who wears the hijab," Halima told The National in an exclusive interview early in 2021.
In another statement, Halima Aden revealed that during her profession as a model, she felt there was great pressure to become the first Muslim model.
"There is a kind of responsibility that I carry for the girls who follow in my footsteps. So, I hope that through my departure and how vocal I am, they can be inspired not to be afraid to speak up wherever they are," said Halima.
Halima Aden herself was born in a refugee camp in Kakuma, in northwestern Kenya. Her mother fled Somalia in 1994 during the civil war in search of a better life for her children. They live in Minnesota, United States.
